Since this is a new site, it will be interesting to know where new members are living and what they like about their location. So, I really live in two places, Jaroslavl Russia and La Costa California. Both extremely different places. The main reason I love La Costa is the climate and the ability to make money; the main reason I love Jaroslavl are the Churches, food and beautiful women. I'm not especially religious, but I do love walking into anyone of six or eight churches within walking distance of my apartment and being able to listen to Russian liturgical music and kiss an Ikona.

I am living in Moscow now and have been here since September last year. Can't say I love but am trying to like it!

Hi guys,
I'm living in Moscow at the moment. It is usually a complete contrast to home, except with the heat and the fires it feels a bit like Australia at the moment. I love it here, most days.

i live in Amman, Jordan - so heat wise i know what you are talking about! haven't seen a raindrop here since mid may Smile but i don't complain! went to the uk in july and it rained... and it reminded me how much i don't miss it Smile I love living in Amman, it's an interesting culture, lots of stuff to visit in Jordan - Amman is not the hottest city in the world, but it's still nice. two things I miss: 1. being able to go into a supermarket and buy everything I need/want, 2. good shopping (but then Dubai is 3 hours away so not that bad Very Happy )

if you want to read about life here: http://expatfamilyinamman.blogspot.com - am coming back to blogging by next week Smile

Hi babs,

What took you to Jordan? It must be a heat hell there! I am in Moscow with my family and its been almost 40 hear and the city is in thick dirt smog from fires. I miss the English countryside and beaches and cooking. Will you be in Jordan for good?
